I’ve known Mike and Hannah for years and years – I was lucky enough to go to college with the both of them at Virginia Tech, which is how we all connected in the first place! And while I can’t take complete credit for the incredible relationship and life they’ve since built together, I can take credit for introducing them spontaneously on a rainy Thursday night in Blacksburg! I was even luckier when they asked me to shoot their engagement portraits (!!!) here in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina!
Photographing couples that are this in love is the reason I absolutely adore my job – to get to capture the kind of love, grace, and deep respect that two people share together on camera is pure MAGIC. It’s the kind of love and engagement sessions that I am completely guilty of smiling throughout the editing process, too! We started our session on Broad Street and Meeting street, wandering the picturesque corners of each of these streets, before making our way down to Tradd Street to have Charleston’s colorful historic houses be the background to our portraits. We then hopped in the car and made our way to the stunning Hampton Park, where camellias had started to bloom just in time for our spring engagement session!
