To say I was excited to get to finally meet Caroline & Will in person for their Charleston engagement session was an understatement – when I first had the chance to chat with them about their plans for their Fall 2022 wedding at Montage Palmetto Bluff, I knew that we’d be a perfect match! Caroline and I immediately figured out (with our phone number’s area codes of course) that we are actually both from the same region of Massachusetts, and probably grew up less than 30 minutes from each other. What a small world to have brought us together here in Charleston all these years later to capture such an important milestone for them!!
When we FaceTimed, we went over all the things that were most important to them on their wedding day, and how their wedding photographer would ideally fit into that. The thing that most stood out to me was that they wanted to truly enjoy their wedding with their friends and loved ones – that time with the people they adore was what they wanted to remember most. I absolutely LOVED this, and is something I constantly seek out for my SNP couples through carefully crafting their wedding day timelines with their vendor teams, and ultimately ensuring that we ‘sneak in’ time for pictures in between the moments and events of the day that matter to them the most.
We kicked off their engagement session at the historic Mills House Wyndham Grand, and spent our evening together wandering the charming streets of historic Charleston whilst dodging summer rain sprinkles in between! The rain didn’t bother them in the slightest, and we had the perfect spots along our route to duck into just in case. Caroline and Will we absolute professionals in front of my camera, and I knew within minutes of our session beginning that they were going to absolutely knock it out of the park and make my job too easy!! Their love, constant giggles, and genuine smiles were an honor to capture on camera – my couples are seriously the best!
We finished our time together at the stunning Sullivan’s Island Beach and popped a bottle of champagne to enjoy with toes in the sand – a perfect ending to a magical evening spent with these two humans! I hope you enjoy these images from Caroline & Will’s engagement session wandering downtown Charleston, SC and Sullivan’s Island – it was so hard to narrow it down to these ones I included below. Caroline & Will, I cannot wait to photograph your joy-filled wedding at the May River Chapel in Montage Palmetto Bluff next year!!
Thank you so much for reading!
